This past September we had days with extreme haze caused by the smoke from the western wildfires which had been carried across the country by the upper level jet stream. One day I took some photographs from an open area near our development just before sunset. There are a few puffy clouds at the top of the image but all the rest is haze caused by smoke from the wildfires 2300 miles away.
