Our first opportunity to photograph Sedona's red rock formations came at the Red Rock Visitor Center and Ranger Station south of the Village of Oak Creek.These rock formations are about 2.9 miles away.

New River Gorge Bridge

The New River Gorge Bridge is a steel arch bridge that carries US Rt. 19 over the New River Gorge, near Fayetteville, West Virginia. Completed in 1977, it is currently the third highest bridge in the USA. With an arch 1,700 feet long, it originally was the world's longest single-span arch bridge; it is now the world's fourth longest single-span arch bridge.

Sandstone Falls – New River Gorge National River

Sandstone Falls is the largest waterfalls in the New River, spanning the river where it is 1500 feet wide. Divided by a series of islands, the river drops 10 to 25 feet over the individual falls in the different channels.

Secret Slot Canyon

We visited this slot canyon near Page AZ in June 2015. It is privately owned, offering tours that are not crowded like the better-known Antelope Canyon.

2015 Western Parks Vacation

In the summer of 2015, my daughter, her son, and I spent 18 days visiting National Parks and other scenic attractions in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. We drove more than 2000 miles and I took more than 2000 photographs.
